Boarding Policies

 

The Change Period

The period from now until 7 days prior to the reserved check-in day is called the "Change Period". If there are less than seven days until your check-in day, then this reservation is After the "Change Period" (see below).

I authorize Sunny Acres to charge $50 to my credit card as a deposit for this reservation. I can make any changes to this reservation, including canceling the reservation during the "Change Period."

 

After the "Change Period":

The $50 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable for all reasons, no exceptions.

During Memorial Day through Labor Day and Holidays, I will pay the boarding fees for the duration of the reservation (this does not include extra services). I will pay for boarding for the entire stay even when I:

-check out my pet before the reserved check out day,

-check in after the reserved check in date,

-and cancel altogether.

I will pay an additional $5 per pet per night in addition to the boarding fees for extending my pet's stay beyond the reserved check-out day. I understand that my pet may be put in a crate if all of the regular accommodations are reserved.

 

Check-in and Check-out Times

Check-in is Monday-Friday 8am-6pm, Saturday 8am-12pm, and Sunday 5pm-6pm.

Check-out is Monday-Saturday 8am-12pm, Sunday 5pm-6pm.

 

If I check out my pet after 12pm, I pay boarding fees for that day. If I check out my pet on Sunday, since the resort is only open in the afternoon, I will pay for boarding on Sunday.

 

If I am able to schedule check in or check out after regular hours, I will pay an additional $100.

Vaccinations

My pet's vaccinations are current for Rabies, Distemper, Parvo (dogs only) and Bordetella (dogs only). Sunny Acres will contact my vet to verify this. If my vet is Banfield, I will have them fax the records to Sunny Acres at (919) 383-5150.

 

Identification

At check in, my pet will be wearing a nylon or leather collar that clearly identifies his or her first and last name. If my pet does not have such a collar, I will purchase a nylon collar upon arriving at Sunny Acres.

Everything I bring for my pet will be permanently labeled with my pet's first and last name.

 

Playtimes/Day Camp

Time outside of the kennel is not included in the boarding rate. If my pet is to leave his/her kennel, I must sign him/her up for Personal Playtimes or Day Camp.

 

Extra Charges for Diets

My pet will be fed Canidae/Felidae unless I bring food from home. If I bring food from home, each meal will be in its own sealed, plastic baggie (e.g. Ziploc) labeled with my pet's first and last name. I will pay an additional $2 per pet per day for any meal other than what is previously described.

If I am boarding multiple pets in the same suite, I will pay an additional $2 per meal for each pet that has to be moved/separated for feeding.

 

Extra Charges for Medications

I will pay $2 per pet per day for regular medications. I will pay $5 per pet per day for any intravenous/subcutaneous injections, multi-step protocols and medications that must be given at specific times. All medication will be in a clearly marked container (preferably the original container) with the following information:

Name of Medication and Strength

Dosage per day or as needed (let us know at check-in what doses you pet needs that day).

 

Long Term Boarding

If your pet is boarding for more than one week, we will require one week of payment when you check in your pet to board. We will bill your credit card weekly for the upcoming week.
